The west African nation will be looking to put the disappointment of not qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by getting off to a strong start in their World Cup qualification group.
To start off proceedings for Gernot Rohr's men in Group C will be a battle with Bafana Bafana at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Benin's last visit to the southern tip of the continent did not go according to plan as two goals from Siyabonga Nomvethe subjected them to a 2-0 defeat, a record that does not bode well for the still winless Gernot Rohr.
The former Nigeria head coach took the reins of the Benin national team on 14 February this year, but has failed to register a single victory in the nine months he has been in charge.
The German tactician will be looking to remedy that when he meets Hugo Broos in Durban. It will be the third time the two head coaches clash, with Rohr winning one and drawing the other previous encounter against the Belgian.
Rohr has named a squad that consists mostly of European-based players, with Ligue 1 stars such as Cedric Hountondji and Steve Mounie headlining the team.

The two teams will take to the pitch on 18 November, before Benin takes on another southern African team in Lesotho three days later at the same venue.
