Bidvest Wits shot-stopper Ricardo Goss shared how he’s dealt with the news concerning his current club, where he started his football career and the Mamelodi Sundowns rumours.

Beginning his journey at Lamontville Golden Arrows as a junior, Durban is where he honed his skill and then played under the stewardship of Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach, Manqoba Mngqithi.

Goss said that despite his excitement when he earned his professional debut in 2013 at the tender age of 19, the Durban-born goalkeeper conceded four goals as Moroka Swallows thrashed Abafana Bes'thende in the Absa Premiership.

However, since then, the 26-year-old has developed into one of South Africa’s best number ones and has been scouted by the Brazilians as an option between the sticks with the likes of Denis Onyango and Kennedy Mweene reaching the twilights of their respective careers.

During this interesting interview, Goss also mentioned his favourite player, the teams he supported as a youngster, and more.

  • "I Changed From Chiefs to Support Mamelodi Sundowns…"
  • "Wits revived my career…"
  • "My idol was Brian Baloyi…"
  • "I fight for what I want…"
  • "I was not one of the rich kids"
