Pitso Mosimane could work with one of the biggest African stars in world football if Al Ahli successfully lure him away from Manchester City in this transfer window.

Earlier this week, it was claimed the newly promoted Saudi giants are targeting a move for Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Another Premier League star, however, has since appeared on the club's radar after it was announced that Al Ahli are among four teams in the country that have been taken over by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Middle Eastern side have shown "concrete" interest in the Algerian international ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Mahrez, though, will reportedly not be allowed to leave the Premier League and FA Cup winners for free, with two years remaining on his deal in England.

Since arriving in Manchester from Leicester City in 2018, the 32-year-old has contributed to 137 goals in 236 appearances across all competitions, winning 10 trophies along the way.
