Liverpool have reportedly decided not to offer new deals to Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and Adrian.

With Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, the club has reportedly decided three players also no longer have a future at Anfield, including one of their highest-paid stars.

According to Football Insider, Reds fans can expect significant personnel changes ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, with Klopp's departure not the only one planned.

The publication claims the club has reached decisions over the future of three players – Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and goalkeeper Adrian – all of whom will see their deals expire in June.

It is said Liverpool will not be offering new contracts to the three experienced footballers, which will see them head into next season as free agents.

Thiago, reportedly the team's third highest-paid player on a weekly salary of £200 000 (R4.7 million), has played just once for the Reds this term, while Matip appeared on 14 occasions before suffering a season-ending injury in December.

Adrian, meanwhile, has not been used at all so far in this campaign, with 25-year-old impressive Ireland international Caoimhin Kelleher preferred as Alisson's back-up in goals.

The 37-year-old Spanish shot-stopper's last appearance for the team came in last season's 3-1 win over Manchester City in the Community Shield in August 2022.

The three players will reportedly follow Klopp in bidding Anfield farewell at the end of May, and it is unlikely supporters will see them turn out for the team before they do.
