A Liverpool forward has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for FC Barcelona for next season.
The Catalan giants are reportedly seeking for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who could be sold by the club as they look to raise funds for transfers.
Lewandowski is also one of the club's highest-paid players and they need to slash their wage bill to comply with LaLiga standards next season if they want to register new players.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez stated this week that a decision will be made at the end of the season.
"We value Robert a lot. We will decide about the future when the season ends. Lewy has a contract," Xavi said, as per SPORT.
According to the Sun, Reds striker Darwin Nunez has now emerged as a surprise replacement for the Polish striker, who has registered 17 goals in LaLiga this season.
Nunez has been with Liverpool for two seasons now but has come under criticism for his finishing this campaign, where he has registered 11 goals in 33 league appearances.
It remains to be seen if the Reds will sell Nunez, but the report adds that player sales could be help in increasing the transfer funds for incoming manager Arne Slot next season.
However, should Salah make the big-money switch to the Saudi Pro League next season, the Reds might not need to sell the Uruguayan striker.
