A French legend has urged Kylian Mbappe to reject the opportunity to sign for Real Madrid and join a Premier League giant instead.

The Bondy native has been heavily tipped to join Los Blancos at the end of the season, when his contract with Paris Saint-German expires.
Former Arsenal and France winger Robert Pires has, however, suggested that his countryman should follow in his footsteps and reject a move to the Santiago Bernabeu in favour of a switch to the Premier League, specifically Liverpool.
The 50-year-old believes the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner could form a wonderful partnership with Reds legend Mohamed Salah.
"I'm sorry, Kylian, but you weren't the first player to say no to Real Madrid," the 2000 UEFA European Championship winner told Le Media Carre.
"I don't know what decision he will make in the end, but I turned Madrid down because I had two other options. I'm sure that if I didn't have the opportunity of going to Arsenal or Juventus, I would have gone to Real Madrid. That's for sure.
"I would like to see him at Liverpool. It's a great family club, there's a good structure, no pressure, the fans are level-headed.

"And I think a Salah-Mbappe partnership could be really explosive. I think he is capable of rejecting Real Madrid."
