Sundowns’ endeavours over the last seven seasons where they have obliterated everything from a domestic perspective has paid off.
The Brazilians will rub shoulders with the world’s elite football clubs in the United States of America next year as one of Africa’s four representatives, having qualified by virtue of the ranking system in FIFA’s revamped competition.
The financial rewards that come with it are quite significant as Sundowns will receive R1 billion in their already deep pockets.

Though Sundowns’ healthy financial state could bode well for some of their local rivals as they continue to pay premium prices for other PSL star players, helping clubs to remain financially viable in the process.
