Word reaching the Siya crew is that one of Sekhukhune United’s veteran defenders is set to be offloaded at the end of the season.

Indications from sources are that while Daniel Cardoso has served the club with distinction since joining from Kaizer Chiefs in 2022, it appears that when the 35-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the current season, Babina Noko will not renew.

The man who started his professional career with the now-defunct Free State Stars is in the last four months of his contract at the side. At Amakhosi, he featured an impressive 185 times, scoring 12 goals in the process – impressive numbers for a defender.
