A new deal is expected to be finalised for the in-form Linda ‘Figo’ Mntambo as a reward for his inspiring performances for Sekhukhune United, sources have said.
Mntambo is nearing finishing his second year with Banina Noko, having joined the club from Orlando Pirates in 2022.

His progress at Sekhukhune was affected by the injury that kept him out since early last year.
In the four matches he has played in the league on his return, the 34-year-old has scored two and provided an assist.

Mntambo, who is the captain of the side, has impressed the club with his contribution, with the talks of a new deal expected to be finalised in the coming weeks, according to sources.
“He has done well since coming back from injury. You can see that the guy would have helped the team a lot had it not been for injury. The club is happy with his contribution, and he is the captain. The new deal is likely to be for one or two years,” said the source.
