A former African international has sadly died after being involved in a bus crash in his native country.

According to BBC Sport, former Sierra Leone international Lamin Bangura has passed away aged 59 in a road accident in the west African nation late on Tuesday.
It is reported that that the accident occurred when the bus carrying the team he coached, Ports Authority FC, hit a stationary truck.
The team was travelling from Sierra Leone's capital city of Freetown to Kenema for a top-flight fixture.
The club's secretary-general, Idrissa Tarawally, has stated that Bangura died in hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning after he sustained severe injuries.
"It's a sad day for Sierra Leone football," he told BBC Sport Africa.
"This is shocking and I'm devastated. I'm speechless. A legend and good coach has gone so soon."
Bangura featured for his country at the Africa Cup of Nations in both 1994 and 1996, and was on the national team's coaching staff at the 2021 edition in Cameroon.
Sierra Leone's FA president Thomas Daddy Brima has also paid tribute to Bangura, whom he described as a "legend who gave his all for Sierra Leone both as a player and coach".

The former centre-back, who also had stints as a player in the Ivory Coast, will be buried on Friday.
