The five-time Ballon d'Or winner joined the Saudi giants in the January transfer window after Manchester United agreed to mutually terminate his contract in England in November 2022.
Ronaldo returned to his goalscoring ways n the Middle East following a difficult period at the Red Devils, but finished the 2022/23 campaign without a trophy.
This has led to Al Hilal caretaker manager Emiliano Diaz, who will be leaving his role officially at the end of this month, reserving strong criticism for the 38-year-old striker.
"He had a hard time, we [Al Hilal] faced him and had a good time," he told TyC Sports.
"He had a hard time. With the big clubs, he made no difference. He scored three or four goals against the small clubs and I saw that they were talking about him here. He lost the Kings Cup, he lost the Super Cup and the tournament. In Asia, he is not going to compete."
Diaz also rubbished claims that Ronaldo could be compared to his compatriot Lionel Messi, who has been linked with a big-money move to Al Hilal.
"No, in no way, not as a footballer. There is no comparison. We have faced him less than three months ago and I went to see Leo at the World Cup," he added.
"We are talking about light years of comparison. There is no comparison but the numbers support him, he is an animal. But at the level of quality of Leo, there is no comparison."
