The 37-year-old will make his maiden appearance as a player who plies his trade in the Middle East in a friendly encounter against the French champions at the King Fahd Stadium on Thursday evening.
Ronaldo is set to captain the Al Nassr-Al Hilal combined XI, called the Riyadh All-Star XI, with a spotlight being shone on what could potentially be the final time the Portuguese and his counterpart Messi meet following their years of rivalry in Europe.
The ex-Manchester United forward will be accompanied by Al Nassr teammates such as Talisca and Luiz Gustavo, the 40-time Brazil international who made 100 appearances for Bayern Munich between 2011 and 2013.
Argentine attacking midfielder Pity Martinez of Al Nassr was also named in the 22-man squad, while former Premier League player Matheus Pereira is one of the 11 Al Hilal players included in the team.
